The second ever Annual International HotShots Helsinki Recreational Hockey Tournament on March 25th
through 30th 2014, applications now being accepted.
Applications for the 2014 International HotShots Helsinki Recreational Hockey Tournament are currently being
accepted. For more information on the Tournament please contact the information given below. Apply now and secure
your Teams spot on the coolest Tournament so far!
The International HotShots Helsinki Recreational Hockey Tournament is the latest addition to the International
Recreational Hockey Tournament Tour in Europe. Come and celebrate the International Recreational Hockey
Brotherhood in first class conditions in the spring of Helsinki, Finland -the Daughter of the Baltic Sea.
The International HotShots Helsinki Recreational Hockey Tournament is more than just a hockey tournament. It is a
festival of celebrating the game of Recreational Hockey in Finland’s capital with participating teams from across Europe,
the Baltic States, Russia and elsewhere.
With a 10-team tournament system each team is guaranteed 6 games (2 games each day, Wed-Fri) with the four best
seeded playing a play-off for the Tournament Championship. All games are being played during the day starting at 8 am
and finishing by 3 pm. Evenings are free for other Recreational Activities, which Helsinki has plenty to offer. The Saturday
Final Play-Off schedule shall be played between noon and 4 pm.
The tournament offering includes on the Tournament Gala in the prestigious Hotel President in Helsinki, the hosting and
accommodating hotel for all participating teams.
Tournament Schedule (tuesday the 25th through Sunday the 30th March)

Traveling Day for participating teams.
Transportation provided from the airport and harbors to The Hotel President.
Registration, tournament info and introduction of facilities.
Welcoming dinner party to be arranged.(TBC)

Packet 1.
460 Euros per player (2 persons/room) tuesday to sunday
300 Euros per person which is not participate in the tournament
Packet includes:
Tournament play 6 or 7 games and arrangements, accommodations for 5 nights
breakfast for 5 days and lunch for 4 days, gala dinner in saturday evening,
tickets to nightclub in Saturday night, airport transports, hotel-icehockey arena.hotel transports.
Complimentary saunas at your disposal at the Hotel every eveningTeams and persons
10 team maximum
12 person minimum/team (i.e. minimum charge is 5520 euros/team)

The Tournament Venue is a brand new hockey arena close to the heart of Helsinki. The arena is called Salmisaari Sports

The Refs
8 certified Finnish regular league referees. One of the refs has NHL playing experience, Simo Saarinen played as a
defenseman for the New York Islanders in the 80's.
The refereeing will be good. Trust us, we've hand picked these guys.
Tournament rules
No checking
No body contact
No specific minimum age limit, however some teams have players in the forties and fifties.

Tournament starting meeting to all teams will be held on Tuesday March 25th at 10:00 pm at the
Hotel President.(TBC)
EXTRAS: We will be looking into a possibility to offer you an opportunity to go and watch a Finnish
Ice Hockey League game on Tuesday night. Cost of a ticket and dinner will be approx. 30 euros per
person. Also looking in to other nights during the tournament for additional games.(TBC)
