Обычно в ТайпЭР было по 200 лошадей и их для подготовки к участию (например) в монокубке его надо было СОВСЕМ чуть-чуть доработать.
А это я смотру уже просто готовый вариант.
Остаются вопросы: сколько сил? это именно заводская версия? где взять денег на енто счастье???????
As well as wheeling out the production version of the new Civic Type-R at Paris, Honda also showed a motorsport derivative that complies with forthcoming changes to FIA rallying regs and is eligible for circuit work.
Honda tasked JAS Motorsport, an Italian-based company that has successfully prepared a variety of Hondas for European championships since 1998, to create a racing kit for the new car so it can compete in FIA R3 (up to 2-litre) rally series in 2008.
With a few mods the kit is also suitable for 2007's Group A regs. The kit costs approximately ?50,000 (not including the car) but does give you 240bhp.
The kit includes a new 6-speed sequential gearbox, competition brakes, shock absorbers, suspension components, roll cage, reinforced driveshafts and a state-of-the-art limited slip differential. You also get lightweight carbon-fibre door panels, dasboard trims and floor panels.
JAS Motorsport is also considering making parts available for road cars.
Since its introduction into amateur racing in 2002, the Civic Type R has proved a popular and successful addition to the sport across Europe. However Honda is aiming for even greater success with its new model and since June 2006 JAS Motorsport, the official partner of Honda in customer racing support, has worked closely with Honda R&D to develop the new Civic Type R in the GrN and GrA specifications as a first step.
CIVIC TYPE R - Set to Race
This development programme has produced an exciting range of advanced racing parts for competition level racing, making the Type R a highly competitive contender in the world of amateur racing.
The racing Civic Type R on display has been developed under the current GrA specifications and features:
· A lightweight Chrome Molibdenum alloyed steel roll cage, offering maximum protection for driver and co-driver with additional torsional stiffness to the bodyshell.
· A custom designed 6-speed sequential gearbox, created specifically for the new Civic Type R and the rigors of rallying on tarmac or gravel. The gearbox is operated by the driver through an ergonomic lever, which is hidden below the dashboard and positioned next to the steering wheel. The drivetrain is completed by reinforced driveshafts and a state-of-the-art limited slip differential (plate type with adjustable preload).
· The engine has been further upgraded by means of re-profiled camshafts and other internals for competition use, all of which have been successfully tested in the challenging N
"Honda's commitment to motorsport is also represented by the Civic Type R race car based on the just-launched road car. Developed in close cooperation with Italy's JAS Motorsport, Honda's official partner in customer racing support since 1998, the Civic Type R is aiming for even greater success than its forebear which has proved popular in European motor sport circles since its introduction in 2002.
The car is being developed to Group N, Group A and the new Group R specifications. Group R will be introduced in 2008 and imposes price restrictions on individual components for the first time. These components will also be homologated simultaneously in GrA, allowing drivers to race and gain experience in the GrA category in 2007 before the switch to GrR on 1 January 2008, without any additional cost."
