9ff hits 254mph!
Porsche tuning specialists 9ff have out trumped the Veyron by hitting 409kph or 254mph at the Pappenburg test track in North-east Germany

The GT9, which was featured in evo back in April hitting 221mph within the two-mile runway at Bruntingthorpe, was able to fully exploit its 987bhp down the twice-as-long Pappenburg straights.

The GT9 utilises the front crash-structure of the GT3, but virtually everything else was designed and developed by the team headed up by Jan Fatthauer, the man behind the wheel during the record-breaking run. The astonishing power comes from a heavily boosted 4.0-litre 996 Turbo engine that features titanium conrods, forged pistons and an induction plate coated in 24 carat gold.
